Virtual Host Servers.
What is a Host Server ?
A Host Server is a physical machine / computer unit
that has been programmed / configured to service Intranet
and / or Internet Clients in accessing, processing and
manipulating various types of data / file information.
What are the different kinds of Host Servers ?
There are many different kinds of Host Servers, the
standard Host Servers being deployed by Virtual Hosting
Companies for its Hosting Clients are Web Server, FTP
Server, Email Server and Database Server.

All our Virtual Hosting Plans / Accounts are provided
with a Virtual Web Server, FTP Server, Email Server and Database Server that run on a
Windows 2000 Server Operating System which are fully configured
to host Virtual Domains.
What is a Web Server ?
A Web Server is a physical machine / computer unit that
has been programmed / configured to store web files
(.HTM, .HTML, .ASP, .PL, .CGI, XML, etc.) and process
web file requests from Internet Browsers such as Internet
Explorer / Netscape.
Our Web Server uses the latest version of Microsoft's
Internet Information Server (IIS) Version 5.0 with the
latest IIS Service Pack installed.
What is an FTP Server ?
An FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Server is a physical
machine / computer unit that has been programmed / configured
to provide a transmission protocol for Uploading and
Downloading web files to and from the Web Server and
the Remote Client.
Our FTP Server uses the latest version of Microsoft's
MS FTP Server which has been fully configured to work
with our IIS 5.0 Web Server. FTP Client Softwares like
Cute FTP and WS FTP can be used in connecting to our FTP Server.
What is an Email Server ?
An Email Server is a physical machine / computer unit
that has been programmed / configured to process both
incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) emails.
Our Email Server uses the latest version of IPSwitch
IMAIL Email Server Version 7.0 which has been configured
to service both POP3 (Outlook Express / Eudora Mail)
and Web Based Email Access.
What is a Database Server ?
A Database Server is a physical machine / computer unit
that has been programmed / configured to exclusively
store and process database files through the use of
various programming languages like ASP, PERL, CGI, JSP, PHP and XML.
Our Database Server uses the latest version of Microsoft's
MS Access Database Driver and MS SQL 2000 Server which
can be controlled (Create, Back-Up and Delete) using
our Virtual Hosting Controller.
What is a Virtual Hosting Controller ?
A Virtual Hosting Controller is a software / program
that has been designed and configured to provide the
Hosting Client access to and control over the services
of the various Virtual Host Servers.
Our company uses an automated Virtual Hosting Controller
known as the Hosting Controller programmed and distributed
by Advance Communications, Inc., USA.
