Create Accounts

To create a new user account:

1. Login into control panel.

2. Click on the Accounts option, present in left frame.

3. Click on New User button, user registration form will be displayed.

4. Provide new user information in the form.

• User Name:  The login name for the new account.

• Full Name: Full name of the user.

• Description: Description of user, if there is any.

• Password: Password for the account.

• Confirm Password: Confirm the user password.

• Email Address: Enter the email address of the account holder. This address will be used to send forgotten password and account information to the user.

• Account Disabled: If checked, the account will be created but the user will not be able to login unless it is enabled again.

• User Cannot Change Password: Check this box if you don't want to allow the user to change his personal password.

• Disk Space: Set the Disk Quota allowed for the account. This option will be displayed only if Disk Quota feature is supported by the operating system and the host has enabled it.

• Choose Folders: Allows you to choose the folders on which this ftp user will have access.

5. Click on the Add User button on form. The new user will be created.

Troubleshoot

As a result of above steps, following actions take place

1. User is registered in HC database.

2. Its account is created on the operating system level.

3. FTP user is given Full Control over the domain folder chosen during account creation.
